The above is equivalent to an annual salary of £34,840 plus a car (The car rental/insurance is based on a 5 door Vauxhall Corsa Club 1.3 CDTi with air conditioning and a combined MPG of 62.8). However, because you are self-employed you will make certain tax savings, which will enable you to keep more of the money you earn. Also if you choose to buy rather than rent a driving school car your earnings would potentially increase by a further £1,500 per year. In addition, as you start to generate your own pupils your earnings will increase as the franchise fee reduces, so rewarding you for a job well done!!

Need to earn more?
You can raise your income by increasing your working hours and taking on more pupils. More specialised tuition such as Pass Plus or Company Driver Training work can often earn a premium.
About pupil introductions
Your use of the pupil introduction service will change as your business grows. For example, you may need us to provide all your pupils while you get established. Then, as your reputation grows, you might find that word-of- mouth recommendations provide you with all the pupils you need, once this happens you will be on a reduced franchise...
On average, you will need two new pupils - per week to maintain a 40 lesson week.
Please note if you were able to get all your own pupils, the franchise fee would be less 20% and, in the above example, your weekly earnings would increase to £682 giving you an annual earnings figure of £35,464.
Naturally, in areas where the lesson rate is higher than the average rate or the type of training given was valued at a higher rate, potential earnings would correspondingly be much greater.

You also have the strength of a successful driving school behind you providing all the support, advice, marketing and management know-how that are vital for success.
